Teaching is always a very respectable position. All the teachers are really respected to great extent. However I must tell you that the teachers also have chance to go abroad and teach in some other countries. USA is also seeing a scarcity of good teacher. 1.You must make this in your mind that you are not teaching the students from your own country. They are from some other country. You might be placed in Italy where they have command on Italian. I must tell you that you should learn Italian in advance.
2.If you know the countries mother tongue you can better understand the children. I must tell you that you might be there to teach English. But you I tell you frankly that you can understand the kids only if you knows Italian. They will express their emotions in Italian and not English.
3.If you know the Italian, then you can easily determine what they are trying to express. Hence you can easily translate their feelings into English. This will really be the better way.
4.You should try to intermingle with the children. They will then really enjoy studying from you.
5.You should not harass them and always talk politely. This is my belief that students feel frightened if you do not talk to them properly. Hence you should avoid this.
These were the five tips to teach children. However you might be asked to teach elder people as well. This time you are a little bit free because you can only expect good response from the elders. They might be engaged in some foreign company and don't properly know the English language. You might be asked by the company to provide their employees formal training in country like turkey where English is not so popular. English is not so popular in turkey and you might be hired by the company in US and then send to turkey to provide training. You will get a good salary. But the job of teaching English in turkey will really be a challenge and you will have to face it.
I can give only one trick that that is stick to your basics. You can not always expect good response from the people whom you have to train. However you will find that you will always be in profit if you stick to basics.
