Benefits of learning foreign languages

All the business is global now. You cannot just sit in US and regulate your large scale business. You will have to invest in different countries if you want to perform a large scale business. This type or international business is not a game of one inexperienced person. In fact top company does so.

Companies like Microsoft, Google, and IBM etc have their outlets in almost all the countries of the world. If you are an employee of these top companies, you will hardly ever get a chance for promotion if you don't know any foreign languages. What I want to emphasize is the fact that if you are in US then you must know that Microsoft is well established in US. However if Microsoft want to open a new outlet in Uganda, they will certainly require lots of new employees. However, it's quiet sure that they will not hire all employees from Uganda. One thing for sure they will hire some from US as well. You can easily guess who has got the highest chance for higher posts. However the company will always give preference to one who knows local language.

Once I met a lady in Amsterdam (Holland) who was an owner of a restaurant. She told me that her children are learning many foreign languages like French, German, Italian and so one. She also committed that Holland is a small country and her children will find it easier to get job in other countries if they learn foreign languages. She also said that most of the elder persons were multilingual, they are quiet able to motivate them.

The situation in US is very different. Kids reply that why should they learn foreign languages. Others will have to learn their language to communicate with them. I would not say that they are wrong but I would feel happy if they are motivated by someone to learn more languages.

1.You will get more opportunities for new business in some other countries if you know some languages a list of foreign languages in your resume can help you to get higher paid jobs.

2.There are many websites in foreign languages. You will have no clue about what they are about. So learn foreign languages and purchase Italian pizza, French wine and contact Russian brides.

3.Live in another country:
America is an expensive country. Suppose an MP3 player cost you $300. However you can get the whole band in $300 in some third world country.

4.The knowledge of foreign language will help you learn your native languages even better. Most of the people learn the grammar skill of their native language when they learn any new language.

5.Talk in secret code:
You will find extremely helpful as far as code language is concerned.

And so on. You will find so many reasons which will motivate you to learn new languages.
