Medical science has decreased the death rate. The standard of living has increased. There is no more the situation of baby boom in US. There is now great demand for health care. Nursing is emerging as the best career. Nurses are in great demand these days and in fact they will be for coming period.
According to the survey conducted by American nurses association the requirement of nurses will touch 1.7 million marks by 2020. Only 635000 nurses will be available. It means that with a four year degree course you are sure to get a maximum salary job in future. You can earn up to $100000.
Nurses are free to work with any. They can work in hospitals, with physicians; self employed teaching aspiring nurses, travel nurses and so on. In fact nursing career is flexible. A nurse can go in any part of the world and will get the job.
Gone are those days when only girls can be nurse. Now the gates are open for boys as well. Nursing is a challenging career and take a lot of hard work. Some jobs related to nursing are changing bandage, changing IV's, giving medication and so on.
Nursing is the most respectful job after that of doctors. You get lots of respect from the society. It's not only US, in fact they get respect throughout the world. Either it's a sportsman, businessman or any body all requires nurses for their offices.

It's not so that only US is experiencing the great future for the nurses. In fact it's the entire Europe and Asia. According to the recent survey conducted by united nursing association the least number of nurses are in Asia, Europe is at second place and the US is at the top place. Country wise also US are at the top. However others are not far behind.
The main tragedy with the field of nursing is that no many of the population is opting for nursing although they will have bright future if they do. Nursing has always been a discarded career among the youth. They don't know how great this career can be for the, they can't experience the respect which nurses get. They feel that it's a boring job. But the truth is something else. As all the statistics given before in this article, those who join this profession have great future ahead. I will recommend this as a great career and hope more of the youth join this.
